18:20 literally the same symptoms sa Maine, stupid fuck just back out now.

Ivan Spasov • 1 year ago

agree, he shouldnt even back though thats the thing, he just needs time to recover and then he can go back but no the idiot will keep on going, like dude its killing you forget the goals you cant achieve anything if you are dead

Abhinav Neoharys Varma • 1 year ago

Dude has a complex, he thinks he's better than everyone else and if he dials it down he won't be able to achieve his goals anymore

Protecc ze Loli • 1 year ago

I'd rather die achieving my goal than back out and regret it forever

Leo'sslut • 1 year ago

im sorry what goals? what goals David have to achieve? i dont think i saw that being mentioned before

Lucas Nóbrega Maia • 1 year ago

yep , David had no goal.
He is chasing a dream to chase. There is no need to go full cybernetic if he is having those symptoms.

Kirito • 1 year ago

It was in episode 4 or 5 was it when that principal guy woke up David had a choice to be a better man but instead he chose this path look at him now going psycho

Meroko Yui • 1 year ago

The principal wasn't good either. Have to understand the world in Cyberpunk to understand that society is f'd because of giant corporations. The school was a part of the corporation and the principal was just another greedy f. The ones who get to be part of Asaka are just cogs in a machine as well and even their lives don't matter to those who run it all. The principal was pushing a lot of money from his mother and because she didn't have enough for the health insurance but pushed to support her son they neglected her when she was on deaths door. In the game one of the ones originally elected to be mayor who wanted to fix things got his brain scrambled by the major corporations to prevent him fixing society. In terms it is hard to mess with Asaka and it's also hard to mess with Militech as they use military on the streets and just plain up murder people even for the slightest crimes. The people who do crimes stealing high tech stuff and such are generally trying to make a profit to make it up in the world to get out of that life or just have a better one. Society suffers poverty and have no place. Pretty much that life is about surviving and making enough to get by to the next day and if you don't have the money you're also screwed.

Leo'sslut • 1 year ago

I get you but he literallly has no goal that requires him get all the implants and go cyberpsychotic to acheive

Protecc ze Loli • 1 year ago

damn, id rather die than back out in a situation like his or maine

Some1ridiculous • 1 year ago

Damn you David, save your woman!

vovan1 • 1 year ago

can't blame him, he asked for trust. But she acted solo.

Rajesh Gotre • 1 year ago

Both of them are pretty horrible at this "trust" thing. Neither of them said anything until it was way too late. David completely ignored his cyberpsychosis symptoms and Lucy tried to solo getting Arasaka off their trails.

Clam Samara • 1 year ago

Trust seems to be a challenging thing in NC, so can't really blame em I guess.

Kirito • 1 year ago

This was that moment of trust and she still hide it look at her now got caught by the enemy

Some1ridiculous • 1 year ago

True but he shouldn’t have listened to her

Kirito • 1 year ago

How can David save Lucy when she can't even say why she's hiding just tell the guy and he will understand it damn pfft women ☕ always trying to make it difficult we mens just wanted to know what's going on instead she keep hiding it

Kirito • 1 year ago

What I meant was we men can't understand it if you women won't tell us

GreenTea Gal • 1 year ago

this show does psychosis and addiction reeeeeeally well...

GOKU • 1 year ago

I feel bad about that woman she didn't deserve to die R. I. P

KyosisPlays • 1 year ago

Tbh alot of people in the show don't, but end up dead.

Esenpai • 1 year ago

Going headfirst down the same path as Maine. I knew David thinking he's special would've come back to bite him. What or who's dream is he even running after?

Also didn't see that betrayal coming from Kiwi but, like Maine said, there's no one you can trust in a business like that more than yourself.

7thSigner • 1 year ago

For real? That betrayal was disgusting. she even warned her.
Everything is going dark.

g@be • 1 year ago

In the world of cyberpunk their are no good endings for a cyber punk

Angelione • 1 year ago

Really? Played Cyberpunk 2077, Shadowrun, Deus Ex (HR and HD).
And they aren't near dark as this anime... There were some grim moments.
But never this dark.

Maahir • 1 year ago

Damn wasnt expecting that betrayal

BlackReaper23 • 1 year ago

why does not a single person in this anime understand that u need to step back in order ro continue living... i kinda don't like how everyone's going : "can't do that"... it feels forced af.. at least give them a reason for going cyberpsycho not some random "can't do that" crap

Roler42 • 1 year ago

Because they have nothing else to live for.

David lived his entire life doing only what others told him to, even when Maine died he's still convinced he has to follow onto what his mom and Maine wanted for him.

Add the addiction to chrome, his growing emotional distance with Lucy and his crew, he's a ticking bomb.

sleeplessknight • 1 year ago

Try telling that to the junkies hopelessly addicted to drugs downtown. Yeah, just step back and stop using drugs.

Tao Divinity • 1 year ago

It is a mental reason, not logical. It is honestly a lot deeper that way.

Oisif • 1 year ago

I guess cyber enhancements is like drugs. You know its bad, but once you get a taste of it, you feel like you can be and do anything.

Jesse Gyamfi • 1 year ago

Once you get cyberware you just can't stop. That's just how it is.

NetroLancer • 1 year ago

Oof, and with the betrayal plot twist.

Gibster • 1 year ago

"why would i care about who he dates?!" proceeds to care about who he dates*

GOKU • 1 year ago

Why this man can't understand that he's gonna end up as maine if he continues this

GreenTea Gal • 1 year ago

chrome is a helluva drug

Düölingöhhh Snorlax • 1 year ago

Is that the immunosuppressor that they keep shooting up? I thought it was all those implants :o

KURI_KAME • 1 year ago

It is the Cyberware/Implants. Because in the game/original lore, the body and soul reject the metal and add the fact that the AI in the lore had already become part of the humans in it that even Alt, the best netrunner from the Old Net became one. I don't want to spoil deeper, but it goes like this:

Cyberware and AI causes psychosis as it creeps to your brain. Immunosuppressor only makes the Cyberware not be rejected by the body.

You can play the game right now and delve deeper into the lore. It is actually good. I've spent literally 50 hours on the game for the first 3 days on release and (never minding the bugs and false promises), I can say that the story is actually well-made.

zocli michael • 1 year ago

The only way to escape cyberpsychosis is to have a chip implant like V that overtake your brain and prevent the implant from disturbing your neurons.

KURI_KAME • 1 year ago

Nope. There is no way. Other than unaliving yourself and becoming a construct just like what you can do in the game as a netrunner. That's also what Adam Smasher suggested.

zocli michael • 1 year ago

You do realise that Dexter blow V brain and the chip rebuild it?

KURI_KAME • 1 year ago

It's not because of that. The reason he became alive is because a part of the engram took hold of his brain. The part of the brain that was missing became Silverhand's and not because of voodoo heebeejeebees you think about the chip that makes it magically healed. That's why I literally said that if he dies and the chip or Silverhand decided to take over his brain, he can become a construct but that would not mean he's still the same. He would already die but a copy or an engram of him will be "alive." It's not right to say that the chip can make the CP go away. Because the only thing that the chip will do is to take over your mind or you become and engram. There is a reason why in the menu, you have 3 visuals of "percentages" it's because whenever you synchronize with Johnny, not that it's not inevitable, the more you die, regardless of being affected or not by cyberpsychosis. Now for the Cyberpsychosis, the game literally will make you read shards relating to it that and the Relic, only go so far as make the person transform as an Engram. There is literally no turning back.

You can also tell that Adam is already an Engram when he commented on David that "you would have been a good construct"

Düölingöhhh Snorlax • 1 year ago

You can spoil all you want man. I neither have any system that can run the game nor plant to :) ( not event going to pirate the thing :p )

Room 34 of the Internet. • 1 year ago

The truth hurts but you said it...you are a Chad.

GreenTea Gal • 1 year ago

no, the implants themselves i call a drug, 'cause people know how dangerous they are, and that they will slowly drive them insane/get the killed and they use em anyway. this couldn't be a more obvious drug allegory if it tried

Ze ro • 1 year ago

Well that's a fine start to give me depression

Niko-kun • 1 year ago

Damn this is getting dark and quick... David becoming an addict, Lucy acting solo, Kiwi’s betrayal... Just damn

RandomWeeb • 1 year ago

WHAAATTTT NOOOOO BROOO KIWIII WHYYY OMGGG ok but holy cow I knew David was also well on his way to become a cyberpsycho mannn this is too sad

flamezilla • 1 year ago

David is such an idiot he literally saw what happened to Maine and yet he still insists to wear the chrome and go beserk dumbass mc doesn't deserve Lucy

Düölingöhhh Snorlax • 1 year ago

whaaattt Kiwi sold Lucy outtt? :o
